Responsibilities Performs a wide variety of housekeeping duties to include but not limited to cleaning, disinfecting, and organizing operating rooms between surgical procedures, replenishing inventory when needed, and helps to keep other areas sanitized as needed. Answers telephone calls in a courteous and prompt manner and clearly/respectfully communicates relevant information to all customers. Efficiently responds to requests and needs with customer focus. Takes initiative and solves problems when appropriate, even when the problem is outside of his/her primary area of responsibility. Proactive in improving job functions, frequently finds ways to improve how department function. Enter departmental workorder/notify biomed of broken equipment. Assists with setting up rooms with appropriate equipment Transport patients as needed, transports lab specimens, and transports blood products as needed. ‘On-call’ status may be required Performs all other duties as assigned when needed and demonstrates ability to perform duties with minimal supervision. Qualifications Required Qualifications Graduation with a high school diploma. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Preferred Qualifications Time management skills. OR experience serving as an OR Assistant.
