QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in a hospital setting with a focus on surgical assistance or critical care is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center operations is highly desirable.
  • Background in emergency medicine, PICU, ICU experience, or medical-surgical nursing is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) certification is required; advanced certifications are a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing patient needs and responding appropriately during procedures.
  • Knowledge of ambulatory surgery center operations is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
  • Perform data collection and maintain accurate medical records throughout the surgical process.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and provide critical care as needed.
  • Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure a sterile environment.
  • Conduct suturing under the supervision of the surgeon when required.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to surgical procedures.
  • Participate in infection control measures and adhere to hospital policies regarding safety and hygiene.
  • Assist in the preparation of the operating room and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Document patient information accurately in EMR systems such as Epic.
