The Emory University Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine has a full-time faculty position available in Pathology. We seek a non-tenure track AP or AP/CP board-certified (or board-eligible) surgical pathologist to join a collegial group of faculty at the Decatur Operating Unit (DOU) providing surgical pathology services to the Emory Decatur and Emory Hillandale hospitals. The successful candidate will be eligible for medical licensure in Georgia. Fellowship training and/or expertise in breast, cytopathology, GI, and/or gynecologic pathology are desirable. Faculty rank will be commensurate with qualifications. The DOU pathology division offers its faculty a diverse diagnostic practice, including annual volumes of approximately 12,000 surgical pathology specimens, 1,200 non-GYN cytology specimens,
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide surgical pathology services to the Emory Decatur and Emory Hillandale hospitals, handling a diverse diagnostic practice including surgical specimens, cytology, and fetal autopsies. This role involves supporting a busy endoscopy service through EUS and FNA evaluations.
