Job Type: Full Time - Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM About the Role As a Precertification Coordinator, you’ll play an essential part in ensuring patients receive timely, coordinated care. You’ll serve as a key point of contact for insurance verification, authorization processing, and procedure cost communication—always with a strong customer service focus. What You’ll Do Track upcoming surgeries and maintain an organized workflow of precertification statuses Assist with surgical scheduling, including coordinating with providers and patients to ensure accurate and timely scheduling. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits by phone and online Update insurance details in the NextGen system Review insurance payment policies and obtain prior authorizations as needed Confirm all required pre-authorization documentation is received before procedures Communicate clearly with clinical and administrative staff Assign accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes Assist with additional tasks as needed to support the team Requirements Professional coding certification or at least 2 years of experience in insurance verification (required) Strong understanding of medical billing and managed care Familiarity with various insurance plans Excellent verbal communication and a polished, professional presence Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Comfortable working in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
