Essential Duties and Responsibilities – The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Obtain prior authorizations based on patient insurance requirements, document in electronic medical record system.
  • Interact with insurance companies, surgery center facilities and hospital to assist in verifying orders, scheduling, and assisting with any required paperwork.
  • Interpret eligibility/verification information and documents regarding patient benefits with patients.
  • Exhibit cooperation, flexibility, and provide assistance when interfacing with patients, physicians and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate respect for patient rights.
  • Flexibility to perform any other job duties that might be requested by the providers or management to help the office run efficiently
