Description Tri-Century Eye Care is seeking a dedicated Surgical Scheduler to join our dynamic ophthalmology practice in our Bristol, PA office location. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in coordinating surgical procedures and supporting our front desk operations. What You’ll Do Coordinate surgical scheduling and documentation – prepare, instruct, and distribute surgery paperwork; ensure timely submission to surgery centers and outside surgeons. Manage patient preparation and records – create charts for incoming patients, enter medications into the system, and handle e-scribing requirements. Support clinical assessments and counseling – review diagnostic measurements (refractions, Lenstar) and guide patients on lens implant options and pricing for cataract surgery. Handle authorizations and compliance – obtain prior authorizations, referrals, and coordinate COVID testing when required. Provide departmental and front desk support – communicate updates within the surgery department, assist staff with instructions, and back up Patient Services Representatives as needed. Detail-oriented communicator with strong interpersonal skills to counsel patients, explain surgical options, and collaborate effectively with staff and surgeons. Tech-savvy professional comfortable with electronic medical records, e-scribing, and managing patient data accurately and efficiently. Problem-solver who can handle authorizations, referrals, and compliance requirements while ensuring smooth surgical coordination. Team player willing to step in with front desk support and contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment.
