Position Summary We are seeking a Surgical Scheduling Coordinator to join our expanding clinical team of dedicated professionals. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, detail-oriented individual with a commitment to patient care, teamwork, and clinical excellence. Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate surgeries and in-office procedures for providers across hospital and clinical locations. Manage follow-up procedures and appointments and monitor changes to daily or weekly surgery schedules. Obtain all necessary authorizations and referrals and document all authorizations before surgery Provide patients and families with accurate, clear information regarding surgical procedures, preparation instructions, and financial responsibilities. Collect and explain financial estimates, balances, or pre-payment requirements ahead of procedures Manages and maintains medical records, including patient charts, test results, and other important medical information. Assists with patient education and provides information on medical conditions, treatment plans, and preventative care measures. Answers, triages and responds timely to calls and messages. Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field Minimum 2 years working in a medical office or surgical scheduling role Experience working with hospital systems, surgical teams, or ambulatory surgery centers preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Why Join Us?
