Join our team! #ACDP #ACDP Responsibilities Assist the surgeon(s) by providing basic instrumentation and sterile techniques for procedures performed in the Operating Room and provide patient care in the clinical setting. The Surgical Tech II is also responsible for the care, handling and maintenance of basic surgical equipment and instrumentation. We are hiring full time day and night shift positions. Qualifications Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups. Required Education: High School Diploma or GED. Specific course work: Graduate of surgical technologist program : Necessary Skills: 1. Strong working knowledge of patient care and basic human needs throughout the life span. 2. In depth knowledge of medical terminology. 3. Strong working knowledge of acute and chronic disease processes. 4. Knowledge of computer programs used in perioperative services. 5. Demonstrates teamwork and communicates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare team. 6. Demonstrates a willingness to learn new methods, procedures and techniques resulting from departmental or organization change. 7. Adapts quickly and easily to change and adjusted behavior and approach to work when necessary to achieve goals. Required Licensure/Certifications: Certification from NBSTSA, NCCT, or AST within 1 year of date of hire/transfer. BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
