Description We’re looking for experienced operating room Surgical Technologist with two+ years of multispecialty service-line experience. Our Technologist are integral members of inter-professional teams in hospitals and clinics that are committed to outstanding patient care, driven by their expertise, compassion and operate at a higher level of practice. Implements and evaluates care of patients undergoing diagnostic and invasive surgical procedures. Keeps the Perioperative team abreast of the procedure needs and progress. Identifies more complex patient needs by reviewing procedure protocol, physician's request, and assessing the patient's physical needs. Prioritizes procedure process and supplies for specialty group of patients. Plans for surgical procedure based on identified needs of surgeon and patient, implementing intervention for identified patient problems as related to surgical procedure and patient needs. Utilizes appropriate standards of care, and/or collaborative clinical pathways to guide the plan of care. Determine the equipment, materials, and resources needed to meet the patient procedure plan. Participates in identifying cost containment activities. Monitors and maintains supplies and initiates purchases to ensure par levels. Successfully completes hospital and department-based orientation programs, attending educational programs to develop optimal knowledge in area of specialty. Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent job training. Certification in Surgical Technology preferred. Two years multispecialty experience. Must be able to function as a clinical expert in at least one service line and have the ability to float to other service lines, as needed. Specialty areas include: Complex GYN, Complex Ortho/Spine, ENT, General Surgery, Ophthalmology (Corneal; Retina Cell transplants), Robotics, Thoracic and Vascular. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required. Join a team today! Be a part of a fast-paced environment and interdisciplinary team.
