Surgical Tech Position Summary Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Reports to the Director of Surgery/OR. Essential Functions Additional Information Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult. Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record. Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present. Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Graduate of a surgical technology program required. Experience: Minimum of 6 months prior experience in another facility preferred.
