Description The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the operating room by assisting physicians during procedures and ensuring a safe, sterile, and efficient environment. This position is responsible for preparing surgical instruments and equipment, supporting patient care, and maintaining the highest clinical standards. Requirements Key Responsibilities · Perform scrub technician duties during procedures · Prepare and maintain sterile fields in accordance with established protocols · Assist physicians by anticipating needs during procedures · Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies · Assist with patient preparation, including skin prep and draping · Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and cleaning systems · Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and storage of surgical instruments · Support patient safety and uphold infection control standards at all times Qualifications: · High school diploma or GED required · Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology or Operating Room Technician program, or equivalent experience · Certification in Surgical Technology (CST) preferred · Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required (American Heart Association preferred) · Minimum of 2 years of surgical or operating room experience preferred · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures
