POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced surgical technician to join our team on a per diem basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting our surgical team in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care during surgical procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Surgical Technology program preferred.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) strongly preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior experience as a Surgical Technician, preferably in an aesthetic plastic surgery setting.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other members of the surgical team before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Prepare surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies prior to each procedure.
  • Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols throughout the surgical procedure.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide assistance as required.
  • Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping.
  • Handle surgical specimens according to established protocols.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of surgical waste.
  • Assist with post-operative cleanup and room turnover.
  • Participate in inventory management and restocking of surgical supplies.
