Clay County Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time (32 hrs per week) skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to support our surgical team before, during, and after procedures. This role is vital in ensuring patient safety, sterile technique, and the efficient functioning of the operating room.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Strong understanding of sterile technique
• Effective communication and teamwork
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Knowledge of safety, infection control, and OSHA standards

• Prepare OR with instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Maintain sterile field and assist with patient positioning
• Hand instruments and assist surgeon during procedures
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments pre-/post-op
• Handle specimens and apply dressings post-surgery
• Clean and sterilize equipment and operating rooms
• Assemble trays and peel packs; follow sterilization protocols
• Communicate equipment or process issues promptly
