Description
Responsibilities
  • Perform scrubbing and assisting duties within the sterile field during surgical procedures.
  • Anticipate the needs of surgeons and surgical staff by passing instruments and supplies efficiently.
  • Ensure proper care, handling, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of aseptic principles, surgical instruments, implants, and OR procedures.
  • Assist with draping, establishing the sterile field, and verifying instrument/sharp counts with circulating nurses.
  • Actively monitor for breaks in aseptic technique and speak up when concerns arise.
  • Participate in operating room turnover, cleaning, and preparation for subsequent cases.
  • Maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and composure under pressure in fast-paced environments
