At NorthBay Health the Surgical Technologist II is responsible for the delivery of patient care to assigned patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed professional nurse. The Surgical Technologist II works as a team member with the primary function as the “scrub person” in the surgical suite and other clinical areas. The Surgical Technologist II provides specialized resources to the nursing department and Patient Care Services Division through their role as a service lead providing education, case consultation or other program services on an ongoing basis. The technologist may be assigned other functions as permitted by the hospital policy. The Surgical Technologist II works as a service lead for a specialty surgical service. These services are including but not limited to: Cardiovascular Surgery ENT General Gynecology Hybrid Room JRP Neurosurgery Ophthalmology Orthopedics Plastics Podiatry Robotics Trauma Services Urology Vascular A Surgical Technologist II service lead, will work with the Clinical Nurse service lead to ensure: Updated Preference Cards Work as a liaison between the surgeon and the OR Manage and maintain service specific supplies Provide educational in services on new service supplies and equipment At NorthBay Health, our vision is to be the trusted healthcare partner of choice for the communities we serve.
