Description

National Spine and Pain Centers is seeking a Per Diem Surgical Technologist to join our team of highly trained, caring professionals at our surgery center in Winter Park. * Schedule: Friday availability required * Hours: dayshift, flexible hours * Pain Management, Neuro/Spine experience required IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL: * Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures with a high degree of efficiency, anticipating the surgeon’s and patient’s needs during the case * Ensure the availability of adequate supplies, equipment and instruments for scheduled cases and assist in opening cases in a sterile manner * Utilize physician preference cards to set up each case; updating cards when indicated * Assist with patient positioning, skin prep, and draping * Ensure accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts are completed when indicated EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED SKILLS: * Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program * CST certification preferred * Current BLS * The capacity to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity. * Authorization to work in the United States without requiring authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
