Education & Training: Completion of a formal Surgical Technology program (college, vocational school, university, hospital, or military). or prior employment as a Surgical Technologist before December 28, 2020. or completion of an accredited military training program. or current certification from a nationally recognized credentialing organization. Experience: 0–2 years of experience required for entry-level Surgical Technologist. Recent graduates from accredited programs are encouraged to apply! Additional experience may qualify candidates for Intermediate or Senior-level roles. Specialty Exposure: Preferred experience in surgical specialties such as: General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Plastics & Reconstructive, OB/GYN, Thoracic, Ophthalmic, Neurosurgery, Organ Procurement, and Endoscopic settings. Medication access limited to distribution to the nurse. Continuing Education: Certified individuals must meet credentialing body requirements. Non-certified individuals must complete 30 hours of continuing education every two years. Licensure & Clearances: CPR (AHA standards within 30 days of hire), Act 33 Child Clearance, Act 34 Criminal Clearance, Act 73 FBI Clearance, Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
