About The Role The Surplus Sales Lead will have primary responsibility for guiding our team through day to day processes. From keeping associates on task while processing alongside them, the ideal candidate will take a big picture approach to keeping the Surplus Sales organized and lead our team to fulfilling daily and weekly goals. Key Role Responsibilities Collaborate with the Surplus Sales Manager to align on short- and long-term sales and operational goals Support the development, documentation, and implementation of standard work procedures across surplus operations Oversee inventory organization, accuracy, and readiness for listing Review and edit draft product listings prior to submission to the Surplus Sales Manager Identify, prioritize, and stage high-value surplus items from the warehouse for testing and listing Lead and motivate staff to maintain productivity, organization, and quality standards Train team members on product testing protocols and photography standards for e-commerce platforms Conduct product testing and photography as needed to support listing volume Maintain a daily listing output to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) Perform additional duties as assigned to support surplus operations and team success Requirements Desired Skills/Qualifications 2+ years of e-Commerce experience preferred Basic understanding of consumer and/or enterprise-level IT hardware Excellent computer/internet experience in working in Windows PC environment a must Great verbal and written communication skills Strong self-driven, project management, time management, and organization skills Strong demonstration of team skills with a high level of initiative and the ability to work in an environment of rapidly changing priorities Demonstrated experience identifying growth opportunities and execution on initiatives within the surplus marketplace to achieve sales targets Must be a self-starter with strong motivation and desire for continuous learning and improvement Ability to work in a general warehouse environment What We Value Genuine interest in people, technology, and digital equity Compassionate, curious, and community-minded Graceful under pressure and adaptable in dynamic situations Collaborative teammate who brings energy and empathy to every interaction Self-motivated and solutions-oriented thinker Previous networking and/or installation experience highly desirable Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a workstation or service counter Ability to frequently lift or move items up to 25 pounds, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds Frequent use of computer, phone, and other office equipment Capability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and over digital platforms Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching Capability to work in various indoor non temperature controlled environments Manual dexterity to handle tools, and small components Extended periods of walking or standing throughout the workday Visual acuity to read labels and perform detailed tasks Willingness to adhere to physical safety protocols We are a growing non-profit and expect this position to drive continued growth.
