Description
FUNCTION: Utilize the video surveillance systems and associated software to continuously observe all gaming and non-gaming areas for any deviations, abnormalities or unusual activities as defined by Gaming regulations and in-house policies and procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES:   1. Present detailed written reports and follow-up reports of incidents that occur on property during assigned shift.  2. Work closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies while conducting investigations. 3. Work closely with all departments that request observations.  4. Responsible for continually monitoring the hotel and casino operations to ensure adherence to state gaming regulations, internal controls, company policies and procedures. 5. Monitor all surveillance equipment during the shift to ensure good working order. 6. View the casino areas for identification of cheating activities, undesirables, pilferage, and embezzlement. 7. Maintain the daily logs. 8. Assist Security in protecting the welfare of employees and guests of the casino and hotel. 9. Coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement in the investigation of criminal activity.  10. Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond.” 11. Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations. 12. Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.  13. Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.   14. Always maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same. 15. Regular predictable attendance is required. 16. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.     REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:    Director of Surveillance   MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 21 years of age.    EDUCATION LEVEL: High School diploma or equivalent is required.    LANGUAGE: Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.    EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years of surveillance, loss prevention, or casino surveillance experience including working knowledge of all casino operations; Table Games, Slots, Keno, and Bingo regarding techniques and procedures, as well as cheating methods.    SPECIAL SKILLS: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.   LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Employee Gaming registration required.    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Ability to walk, stand, or sit for long periods of time. Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs. Fine finger manipulation.  Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
