Protects Keeneland interests through use of video surveillance technology including, but not limited to, detecting fraudulent activity, policy violations, and threats to Keeneland patrons, back stretch workers, horses, employees and assets.

CORE ABILITIES

  • Apply sound surveillance techniques, logical reasoning and judgement while conducting focused observation
  • Promptly recognize behavior that may precede disruptive activity, alleged criminal violations, or Keeneland policy violations
  • Maintain confidentiality of all observed and reported activities
  • Navigate and maintain proficiency in video monitoring software
  • Applicant should possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Accurately document all actionable activity
  • Operate in a multitasking environment

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of two years of experience in the security or surveillance field preferred. Knowledge of Thoroughbred industry a plus!
  • Successfully pass background investigation and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Applicant must be free of felony convictions, or serious misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude, domestic or workplace violence

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities
  • Monitor pre-determined locations utilizing video surveillance system
  • Identify violation(s) of Keeneland Association policies and procedures
  • Protect Keeneland property and assets, and detect alleged criminal violations
  • Maintain compliance in support of the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Act (HISA)
  • Monitoring of compliance standards in place with Kentucky Horse Racing and Gaming Corporation (KHRCG) regulations that govern the sport of horse racing on the grounds.
  • Notify Security Officers and Security management as necessary
  • Refer questionable patterns of behavior to appropriate parties for extensive review
