Summary: Responsible for maintaining close surveillance of all gaming and cash-handling areas. Utilizes necessary equipment to identify record and document illegal and/or unusual activities occurring in areas under surveillance and reports findings to appropriate personnel. Provides outstanding customer and employee service at all times. Must present a neat and clean appearance at all times. Essential Duties: Monitor all areas of the property at all times, identifying potential security and/or safety risks and reporting them to the appropriate individual or entity for proper resolution. Maintain a working knowledge of all rules and regulations and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property. Protect Red Mile’s integrity through the consistent, thorough monitoring of all activities on property, particularly on the gaming floor. Assist department leadership with directing the flow of surveillance reports to the proper individuals per Surveillance Management, always maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. Maintain high service levels in the Surveillance Department. Coordinate with the Surveillance Management, when surveillance discovers a matter which needs further investigation or attention as appropriate. Observe, document, record and report any unusual or suspicious activities on property. Review surveillance video and reports, providing detailed information to Surveillance Management as needed. Knowledge or desire to learn PTZ camera installation and cleaning utilizing scissor lift Other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed): High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must be available to work flexible shift, weekends, and holidays. Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing. Minimum Qualifications: Proven ability to operate a surveillance system Proven ability of developing and maintaining excellent relationships with the various business units within wagering operations Candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, enjoy and create a team environment. Must be able to communicate in English. Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service. Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members. Physical Requirements: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs., while performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for long periods of time and occasionally stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, knee, crouch or crawl, talk and hear. Must be comfortable working at heights up to and above 60 feet using scissor lift.
