Description Introduction RETTEW is seeking a Survey CAD Designer to join our Survey Team in Williamsport or Mechanicsburg, PA. This role supports land surveying and mapping services across transportation, land development, municipal, energy, and environmental projects. The ideal candidate brings strong drafting experience, attention to detail, and the ability to translate field data into accurate, high-quality deliverables. Work Environment Hybrid Locations: Williamsport, PA or Mechanicsburg, PA This position combines in-office collaboration with flexibility to work remotely in alignment with RETTEW’s Hybrid 3 schedule. Position Summary / What You’ll Do The Survey CAD Designer plays a critical role in transforming field survey data into precise drawings and mapping deliverables. This position supports survey crews and project managers by producing boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, subdivision plans, construction stakeout drawings, and utility mapping exhibits that directly support engineering design and client decision-making. Responsibilities / Day-to-Day Prepare survey drawings and mapping exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software Process and draft boundary, topographic, and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys Assist in preparing subdivision plans, easement exhibits, and right-of-way plans Reduce field data and incorporate GPS, total station, and drone data into final deliverables Collaborate with survey crews, project managers, and engineers to ensure accuracy and completeness Maintain CAD standards and templates consistent with RETTEW’s quality expectations Support revisions and updates based on internal QA/QC review and client feedback Qualifications Required Associate degree in drafting, surveying technology, civil engineering technology, or related field, or equivalent experience 2+ years of survey drafting experience Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D Strong understanding of boundary principles, topographic mapping, and survey symbology Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines Preferred 4+ years of survey drafting experience Experience with ALTA/NSPS surveys Familiarity with GPS data processing and point cloud integration Knowledge of Pennsylvania survey standards and municipal requirements What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience 100% Employee Stock Ownership Plan Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage Generous paid time off and holidays Hybrid work model with structured flexibility Professional development and advancement opportunities within a growing survey practice RETTEW is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
