Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Survey CAD Technician to join our Land Survey team in Oklahoma City. The Survey CAD Technician will be responsible for processing field survey data and producing accurate, high-quality survey drawings, plats, and base maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation ORD, and Trimble Business Center. This role supports land development, transportation, utility, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process raw field survey data and convert into detailed CAD drawings and topographic maps
  • Create boundary, ALTA, topographic, route, and construction staking survey drawings
  • Interpret field notes, sketches, legal descriptions, and plats to prepare accurate survey documents
  • Collaborate with survey crews and project engineers to ensure deliverables meet project standards
  • Maintain CAD standards and ensure drawings are consistent and up to date
  • Organize project files, backup data, and ensure quality control procedures are followed
  • Assist with research of property records, plats, deeds, and easements

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in drafting, surveying, civil engineering technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience as a Survey CAD Technician in a civil engineering or land surveying environment
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation ORD is required
  • Understanding of land surveying principles, legal descriptions, and coordinate systems
  • Familiarity with Oklahoma survey and land-use standards a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Trimble Business Center or similar software
  • Experience processing planimetric and LiDAR data
  • Knowledge of GIS systems and survey-grade GPS processing
  • Experience with ODOT and/or TxDOT projects beneficial
