SURVEY CAD TECHNICIAN - STAFFORD

Are you passionate about turning data into detailed, accurate drawings that bring geospatial surveys to life? RPS is looking for a motivated CAD Technician to play a key role in delivering high-quality geospatial survey outputs. In this dynamic role, you’ll have the chance to showcase your AutoCAD skills, working with both 2D and 3D drawings while being part of a collaborative and innovative team.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (both 2D and 3D) is essential.
  • Experience in 3D Revit modeling from laser scans/point cloud data is a plus but not required.
  • Strong understanding of surveying processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

You’ll work closely with the Survey Manager, gaining exposure to a variety of projects that challenge you to think creatively and enhance your expertise. Whether you’re producing final CAD drawings, interpreting client briefs, or managing your own workload, every day will bring new opportunities to solve problems and innovate.

You’ll also enjoy a diverse work environment where your ability to adapt to new technologies and processes will be valued. Your input will help ensure accurate and timely project delivery, making a real impact on our clients and the communities they serve.

  • Produce precise AutoCAD drawing files from site surveys, following company procedures and industry guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Survey Manager to deliver surveys that meet client expectations and adhere to technical specs.
  • Manage your workload to meet deadlines while ensuring compliance with our Quality Assurance policies.

This role may involve:

  • Moving heavy items including inspection chamber covers.
  • Working in all weather conditions (this could include night work also).
  • You may be required to work in confined spaces and on highways.
  • Please note mandatory drugs and alcohol tests are undertaken for this role and a DBS check will be undertaken
