DO YOU HAVE TRANSFERABLE EXPERIENCE FOR THE SURVEY GROUP’S CADD TECHNICIAN POSITION, A POSITIVE ATTITUDE, AND WANT TO JOIN A HIGHLY COLLABORATIVE AND PEOPLE-FOCUSED COMPANY?

The Survey CADD Technician is responsible for not only conducting themselves and their work to further Susquehanna Civil’s daily mission to deliver quality infrastructure engineering and support services but also promoting a positive working environment through our core values of integrity, quality, care, and responsiveness. The Survey CADD Technician is also responsible for developing CADD files for 2D and 3D surfaces, extracting data from point clouds, and adding more.
The Survey CADD Technician will work collaboratively with the Survey Teams, as well as with other Project Delivery Groups to maximize effectiveness, and, in addition to what has been described above, will be given the responsibility toperform tasks such asadding PASDA LiDar information into mapping and surfaces, revising aerial mapping based on conventional survey data, plotting deeds, plotting baselines, plotting legal rights-of-way, and preparing GIS deed mosaics.

TYPICAL SKILLS, TRANSFERABLE EXPERIENCE, & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Technical School Graduate
  • Professional License: None (Driver’s License required, CADD certification preferred)
  • Experience: 2+

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, good time management skills, and critical thinking skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office software.
  • Basic knowledge of MicroStation CAD, Inroads, and Bentley ORD software.
  • Basic mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Basic understanding of land surveying principles and practices.
  • Basic understanding and ability to apply methods and standards of computer-assisted surveying applications desired.
  • Ability to read and interpret a variety of maps, title reports, and legal descriptions preferred.
