Growing Michigan firm looking to add a talented Survey Crew Chief with opportunity for growth! Responsibilities: Projects include standard construction layout, topographical, and boundary surveys and more complex projects such as construction layout on heavy-civil, commercial, and industrial projects such as manufacturing plants Sectors include private clients and public clients including contractors, municipalities, airports, and MDOT Operate survey equipment, utility locating equipment, trucks/ATVs Organize/maintain regular service of vehicles and equipment Meet budget and productivity standards Responsible for Safety Awareness Motivate survey staff Demonstrate accuracy, quality, and thoroughness Generate suggestions for improving workflow/cost savings Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a crew chief Extensive building layout experience preferred Thorough understanding of reading/interpreting plans/details including civil, structural, and architectural plans and fabrication drawings Computer skills preferred Salary is commensurate with experience.
