If you're an experienced Crew Chief with strong leadership capabilities, who wants to be more than a number and have their ideas heard - this could be your opportunity! As the Survey Crew Chief/Party Chief, you will represent the company in the field and will be responsible for making sure that the crew and equipment are ready for the next assignment. You will need to ensure that the work is performed to company standards and that the results are presented in a clear and concise format. *You will be responsible to lead the field effort for various surveying tasks including; construction, topographic, boundary, right-of-way, and control survey projects. Careers | DRMP Your Primary Responsibilities will include Assign and monitor work, and provide input for evaluation of field survey crew members Instruct and train crew members in survey methods, use of equipment, and field safety procedures Gather field survey data through the use of conventional and Global Positioning System (GPS) methods Set up, adjust, and operate surveying equipment, including electronic total station, data collector, and GPS equipment, in order to measure distances, elevations, and angles Prepare field notes and drawings Perform field surveying for roadway, bridges, and flood control projects, including installing surveying construction stakes, tying out existing intersection ties, and locating or establishing vertical and horizontal control, right of way, monuments, corners, boundaries, and property lines What you'll need High School and/or specialized training from a vocational or technical school Good written communication and handwriting with the ability to take all types of notes in the required manner, manage and organize field crew Ability to calculate basic math (as required for the work) and utilize calculators and other computational devices Ability to carry and lift equipment as needed on the project Ability to cut and/or clear brush while establishing survey lines (machete use) Knowledge of equipment and ability to set up for various types for different work situations Ability to hold and proficiently use all measuring devices Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required Ability to travel (if needed) DRMP Offers Excellent compensation package Outstanding holiday and paid-time-off programs 401(k) Plan and Match Career Path Development Program (Management & Technical Career Tracks) Mentorship Program Tuition Reimbursement Parental Leave Competitive health and dental insurance premiums Variety of voluntary benefit options Short-Term Disability/Long-Term Disability Company-furnished life insurance Employee Assistant Program (EAP) Flexible Spending Account and More DRMP is a Drug and Alcohol Free workplace, an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and E-Verify employer. #LI-SR1
