A salary of $81,545.88 - $101,353.20 pa plus 11.5% superannuation and applicable allowances will be offered (depending on qualifications and experience). A leaseback vehicle may be negotiated. This permanent position is 35 hours per week with a monthly rostered day off.

Survey & Design Engineer – Full-time

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• The successful applicant will possess a well-developed problem-solving ability and demonstrate their excellent interpersonal skills with the general public and fellow employees.
• A Degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and/or minimum of four (4) years’ relevant experience in Local Government is essential.
• They must possess a high level of computer literacy in the use of a variety of software applications including MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, GIS (QGIS preferred), flood modelling software, web-based products and information management systems.

• Coordinate/undertake survey and design works primarily for the construction and maintenance of Roads, Drainage and Roadside furnishings, in both rural and urban environments, and to assist in the investigation of all queries regarding these matters.
• Provide project management and site engineering services on occasions.
• Support strategic services planning for the Shire
