OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Party Chief to lead our surveying team on various projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in land surveying and civil engineering, with expertise in utilizing advanced surveying technologies and software. As a Party Chief, you will be responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring accuracy in data collection, and maintaining high standards of quality throughout the surveying process.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience in land surveying with a strong understanding of geometry principles.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software including Trimble.
• Solid knowledge of civil engineering concepts as they relate to land surveys and construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics effectively.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in a field setting.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

• Lead and manage surveying crews in the field, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
• Conduct land surveys, including topographic, and construction surveys, while utilizing various surveying instruments.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to provide accurate survey data that supports civil engineering projects.
• Utilize software such as Trimble Access and Siteworks.
• Train and mentor junior staff on surveying techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards during field operations.
