Project Overview: Fab 62 is an advanced semiconductor fabrication facility for Intel Corporation, located at Intel's Ocotillo campus in Chandler, Arizona. As part of this work, the M&T team is responsible for delivering the engineering, procurement, and construction scope required to complete and finish-out a leading-edge chipmaking facility — a highly demanding environment where precision, cleanliness, schedule certainty, and coordination across thousands of craft and professional personnel are essential to success. The project supports the continued expansion of domestic semiconductor manufacturing capacity, contributing to a more resilient technology supply chain while creating significant opportunity for the local Arizona workforce. Joining the Fab 62 team means contributing directly to one of the most strategically important construction efforts in the United States and helping deliver the infrastructure behind the next generation of microelectronics. Job Summary: In this role, you will support the administration of the survey work request program. You will assist drone pilots with inspecting equipment and completing pre and post flight checklists. You will calibrate survey instruments, review computations, prepare drawings, and provide technical support. Your work will ensure the accurate layout of construction work, data accuracy, and efficiency of survey activities. #LI-BH1 Major Responsibilities: Supports the survey team’s implementation of the project safety, quality, and environmental programs. Coordinates the recordation of field data according to job specifications and appropriate methods of performing survey activities. Assists in establishing and/or verifying and maintaining the project’s survey control network Maintains and may develop survey data. Performs verifications of subcontract survey work. Assists updating and maintaining the "As-Built" as-built model. Provides GPR support for locating embedded commodities i.e., rebar conduit, etc. Prepares survey CAD drawings as required in the performance of duties, including generation of Digital Terrain Models (DTM) and volumes computations Ensures the accurate layout of construction work, recordation of field data according to job specifications and appropriate methods of performing survey activities. Performs Calibration Baseline checks of survey instruments. Provides technical support as related to survey to Field Engineering and Superintendents in a wide range of situation and configurations. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: Multi-Disciplined Field Engineering Survey experience with earthwork, excavation, concrete, structural steel, mechanical, and piping, etc. installation layout and verification. Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience. Knowledge of Bechtel’s “Zero Incidents” safety program. Knowledge of Bechtel quality standards. Must have a solid record of successful project completion with little to zero rework. Knowledge of construction survey principles. Demonstrated ability to always maintain a safe work ethic and work environment. Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment, able to formulate a working relationship with survey team members, other departments, contractors, and survey functional management. Initiative-taker, highly motivated, requiring little supervision, and able to work on multiple work fronts, with excellent problem-solving ability. Displays effective communications skills crucial to understanding instructions and plans in a clear and concise manner. Demonstrated experience with Trimble Robotic Total Stations, Digital Levels & GNSS survey systems, and Access field software. Knowledge of data downloading. Intermediate level use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be physically capable to participate in project walkdowns, which may require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing in, or maneuvering around small and/or confined spaces, and lifting up to 40lbs without assistance. This project may have multiple work schedules that are subject to change and may require employees to work overtime, weekends and/or night shift when a business need arises.
