JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an entry-level Survey Technician to join our team to assist senior staff in conducting a wide variety of land surveying projects. This role does not require previous surveying experience, but it does require candidates to have an interest in the profession, have a curiosity about how infrastructures works and about how and when land development occurs.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability and willingness to work outside in a variety of conditions.
  • Rapidly display proficiency in operation of equipment.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during fieldwork.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in the field while adhering to safety standards.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting land surveying tasks, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking.
  • Utilize surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS units, and levels to gather precise measurement data and attributes.
  • Perform research data collection to support surveying projects, including reviewing historical records and maps.
  • Collaborate with coworkers to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of fieldwork and office data for future reference.
