Survey Technician Qualifications:

  • Have a sound understanding of Optical Survey Equipment (i.e. Total Stations, Theodolites and Auto Levels) for the applications of civil verifications, structural installation and alignment, mechanical installation, and alignment as well as experience of establishing work points, datum’s, benchmarks, elevations, and control monuments.
  • Possess the ability to trouble shoot and come up with solutions on the job to keep the work moving forward.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred. Must be willing to travel and provide hand tools as required for the job

Responsibilities
  • Research previous survey evidence, drawings, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys.
  • Determines methods and procedures for establishing or reestablishing survey control.
  • Keeps accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed.
  • Coordinates findings with work of engineering personnel, customers, and others concerned with the project.
  • The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
