The Surveying Project Manager is responsible for planning, conducting, and directing work of projects, as well as preparing proposals, and managing project schedules and budgets. Key Responsibilities: Provide field documentation to survey crews in anticipation of office needs. Give and follow up on directions to field staff and other engineering technicians. Maintain project files including notes, research, and design documents. Prepare or direct preparation of client deliverables and ensure the QA/QC process has been completed. Gauge level of efforts of project and provide input for process efficiencies and tools for more efficient work. Perform survey research, computations, drafting and be able to read and write legal descriptions. Understand all state and local survey rules and standards. Attend survey related meetings with clients and municipalities. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills; the ability to identify alternative solutions, consequences of proposed actions, and to implement recommendations in support of established goals. Outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and customer skills. Ability to communicate effectively; written and verbally. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, as well as in high pressure situations with frequent interruptions. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate degree in a civil engineering or land surveying program is preferred. 10 + years of relevant work experience related to surveying services is required. 10 + years of experience related to managing projects and working with both internal and external clients. College course work in surveying or civil engineering field is preferred. License or Certification Requirements: Valid Driver’s License is required. Professional Land Surveying License is required. Physical Requirements: Able to work in an office environment. PPE Requirements: Hi-Visibility clothing should be worn on job sites and in the field as necessary.
