JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Surveyor to support our field operations both at the Cote Site and in-town. The Surveyor will be responsible for conducting precise measurements and providing accurate data to guide construction and earthworks activities across multiple work environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a solid understanding of surveying principles, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Finish grade experience to standard specification tolerance with sub-grade and aggregate placement.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in surveying for construction or earthworks projects.
  • Proficiency with survey instruments such as Trimble, Leica, or equivalent GPS/total station systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working in both field-based and in-town environments.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software programs is an asset.
  • Valid professional surveyor license or certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct field surveys and collect accurate measurements of topography, boundaries, and construction layouts at both site and in-town locations.
  • Utilize total stations, GPS, and other survey equipment to record data for engineering and construction teams.
  • Interpret and analyze survey data to produce maps, plans, and reports.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and foremen to ensure alignment between survey data and construction plans.
  • Establish and verify benchmarks, control points, and stakeouts for construction work.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all survey activities and data.
  • Monitor and report deviations from project specifications or plans.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all surveying activities are carried out in compliance with company and site-specific health and safety regulations.
  • Calibrate and maintain survey equipment to ensure optimal performance.
