SUMMARY

As a Surveyor at CGL Contracting Ltd, you will play a vital role in our projects by providing accurate civil project survey and data analysis. This position is based in the beautiful Okanagan region, where you can enjoy a balanced work-life experience surrounded by nature.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Surveyor or in a similar role within the civil construction industry.
  • Experience working with Trimble GPS equipment and familiar with all constellations
  • Clear understanding of adjusting survey to actual field conditions
  • Clear understanding of obtaining contract quantities and application of scope
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate
  • measurement and correct installation of materials by field staff
  • Provide quality control by checking for accuracy at all control points,
  • benchmarks, grid-lines, survey marks, elevations and stakeout points. Will also
  • monitor the site for correct elevations and locations.
  • Produce asbuilt drawings
  • Prep work for field layout
  • Create files for machine control
  • Operate and maintain surveying equipment
  • Ensure updates to survey equipment are generated
  • Ensure the safety of survey equipment
