Everything from roads and bridges, to airports and utilities. The Opportunity We’re seeking for an experienced Surveyor to join us at Fulton Hogan, based in Auckland. As a Surveyor (Land), you will be responsible for general site, and engineering survey works across numerous projects in the Auckland Region, covering large scale infrastructure, structures and earthworks. Having the right tools to lead you to success, we use up to date equipment and software, priding ourselves on being at the cutting edge of construction and infrastructure. In addition to the above, you’ll: Activities will predominantly be focused on engineering set out, survey calculations, reductions, model preparation and project management Apply knowledge of engineering surveying, construction methods, earthworks processes, machine control, digital engineering and UAV's would be advantageous Work to a program of surveying activities coordinated with construction time frames Apply your proficiency in using Trimble survey equipment, TBC, Civil3d and the Autodesk suite of products Use survey software for draughting & modelling to produce survey drawings, calculations, engineering designs and report volumes Maintain project drawing and document archives Assist with the operation of machine control guidance systems on graders, pavers & milling machines Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with any specification or standard prepared for a particular job Operational knowledge of civil and construction works, operations and calculations and the ability to interact with Fulton Hogan staff, contractors, designers and clients is essential for this position. What you will bring to the role: Minimum 6+ years’ experience within a survey or civil construction industry in NZ or AU Full Class 1 driver’s licence Hold a degree in Survey, NZCLS or equivalent Strong proficiency in using Trimble survey equipment, TBC, Civil3d and the Autodesk suite of products Excellent technical knowledge of surveying and surveying methodologies Working knowledge of civil engineering and construction processes The ability to think through problems and come up with solutions. Strong communication and relationship building skills Delivering work to time and quality standards in a high-volume work environment Familiarity with survey equipment, software and digital engineering processes The ability to operate a range of surveying equipment including GPS, robotic total stations and survey and design software is required.
