Description
d2m Srervices is currently seeking, on behalf of its partner leading supervision works for an offshore project in Angola,for an experienced Surveyor (Navigation) to support offshore operations by ensuring accurate positioning, alignment, and route compliance during subsea construction and pipeline installation activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in offshore survey systems and excellent navigation expertise. Key Responsibilities Supervise all survey and navigation activities during offshore operations. Ensure accurate positioning, alignment, and route tracking for pipelines, subsea structures, and marine assets. Operate and interpret data from positioning systems (DGPS, USBL/LBL, multibeam, acoustic systems). Review and validate route maps, bathymetric charts, alignment data, and survey deliverables. Interface with marine crews, Tow Masters, OIMs, and project teams to ensure safe and compliant execution. Monitor navigation accuracy and troubleshoot survey equipment as required. Contribute to operational planning, risk assessments, and reporting. Education & Experience: Degree in Hydrography, Geodesy, Geomatics, or Naval/Marine Engineering. Proven experience in offshore survey, pipeline installation, or subsea positioning. Valid BOSIET and/or STCW Basic Safety Training certification. Experience with pipeline laying or subsea construction is a strong advantage. Key Competencies: Expertise in DGPS, USBL/LBL, multibeam, and acoustic positioning technologies. Ability to interpret bathymetry, marine charts, route plans, and alignment data. Proficient with survey software Contract Details: Immediate mobilization. Working schedule: Single status or rotation . Estimated contract duration: six (6) months
