Rating Surveyor - We are seeking a skilled and motivated Rating Surveyor to join our London team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice on business rates, managing rating appeals, and delivering strategic solutions to minimise clients’ liabilities. This role requires a thorough understanding of the UK rating system, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to build strong client relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Surveying, or a related field.
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in rating surveying, with a strong track record of successful rating appeals.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UK business rates system and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a client-focused approach.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of clients’ business rate liabilities and identify opportunities for savings.
  • Prepare and submit rating appeals, negotiating with valuation officers to achieve favourable outcomes.
  • Advise clients on the implications of rating assessments and provide strategic guidance to manage and mitigate costs.
  • Stay abreast of changes in rating legislation and case law to ensure clients receive up-to-date and accurate advice.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including valuation, leasing, and asset management, to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
