WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Essential:

  • Degree in Surveying or related discipline
  • Significant experience in open-pit mining operations
  • Remote Pilot License (RePL) for UAV use
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality work
  • C Class driver’s licence
  • Initiative and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Deswik and ArcGIS
  • Experience with Trimble equipment and terrestrial scanning
  • Eligibility or registration with the Queensland Board of Surveyors (Mining Endorsement)

We are seeking a Surveyor to support our Production Planning team by delivering timely, accurate surveying services that drive operational success at our open-pit bauxite operations in Weipa, Far North Queensland.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provide survey control for mine operations and support GPS machine guidance systems (Cat Terrain)
  • Conduct stockpile surveys and mining volume reconciliations
  • Deliver accurate mapping and reporting for production teams
  • Operate UAVs for a range of survey tasks
  • Liaise across planning, operations, and other departments to meet survey deadlines
  • Complete month-end and statutory survey reporting
