OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mathematics and surveying techniques, with proficiency in various software tools and technologies. This role involves conducting land surveys, collecting data, and creating accurate schematics to support construction and engineering projects. The Surveyor will work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure that all surveying tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience in land surveying or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD software is essential; experience with Carlson or MicroStation is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GIS principles and the ability to utilize ArcGIS for mapping purposes.
• Knowledge of utility locating techniques is beneficial.
• Proficient in data collection methods and data analysis skills.
• Experience working with hand tools and heavy equipment used in construction environments is advantageous.
• A solid grasp of mathematical concepts including trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and their application in surveying tasks. • Conduct land surveys using traditional and modern techniques, including GPS and utility locating.
• Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and ArcGIS for drafting and data analysis.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret survey data to create detailed schematics.
• Perform calculations involving trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and other mathematical principles to ensure precision in measurements.
• Operate 3D scanners for advanced surveying tasks.
• Collaborate with construction teams to provide accurate site assessments and measurements.
• Maintain equipment and tools used in surveying activities, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Engage in heavy lifting as necessary during fieldwork to transport equipment or materials.
