Job Details Job Location: 112 - San Joaquin - Stockton, CA 95202 Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $23.00 - $25.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: Up to 50% Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Lead Youth Mentor is responsible for providing guidance, support, and leadership to youth mentors, while overseeing and coordinating program activities within the organization. This role serves as a positive role model and leader, fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for youth at all elementaries assigned. Other duties will include clerical task to ensure program goals are met and quality standards are maintained. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Adheres to all El Concilio California Policies and Procedures. Provide consistent and meaningful mentorship to youth mentor and students through one-on-one and group interactions. Supervise and support a team of youth mentors, providing training, feedback, and ongoing coaching. Support sites with de-escalation when youth exhibit challenging behaviors or emotional distress. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safeguarding procedures, and confidentiality protocols. Collaborate with families, school personnel, and other stakeholders to support holistic youth development. Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and attendance logs for all assigned sites. Monitor and ensure the safety, engagement, and appropriate behavior of youth in all program settings. Assist with outreach, recruitment, and onboarding of new youth mentors. Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement. Uphold organizational values and represent the mission in all internal and external interactions. Assist in the development of curriculum and keep track of inventory for program materials. Prepare written accident reports as necessary. Follow Mandated Reporter protocols based on training when necessary. Participate in relevant trainings and collaborative meetings as required. Respond to children’s needs, emergencies, and mediate conflicts that may occur during activities. Gather materials prior to visiting different sites. Create inventory of materials and ensure all items are carefully stored at headquarters. Provide all students necessary equipment and provide instruction on use of materials for safety purposes. Work alongside and collaborate with youth mentors and other specialty staff. Assist other Youth Mentors with coverage during site assignment as needed. Relay any information Program Manager regarding program updates. Maintain a professional relationship with all students, parents and school personnel. Required to work all El Concilio California special events as needed. Other Duties as assigned by supervisor(s) and/or administrative staff. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: An Associates Degree in Education or related field with 1-3 years of experiences is highly preferred; A High School Diploma with at least 12 semester units and 2-4 years of experience in a related field is required in lieu of a degree. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid Driver’s License Up to date automobile insurance Successful completion of Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Successful completion of Workplace Violence Prevention Training Successful completion of HIPPA Training Successful completion of Mandated Reporter Training Must undergo and complete CPR & First Aid within the first 90 days of hire.
