Responsibilities
  • Prepare sushi and related dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure mise en place is prepared accurately and efficiently for each shift
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and operational flow of the sushi station
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and rotation of sushi ingredients
  • Follow kitchen standards and procedures, including HACCP and food safety guidelines
  • Assist in managing inventory, monitor stock levels, and report shortages to supervisors
  • Work closely with Sous Chefs and fellow team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Support other kitchen sections when needed and contribute to overall team performance
  • Participate in briefings, training sessions, and mentoring of junior staff (Demi and Commis)
  • Maintain grooming standards and represent the sushi kitchen with professionalism
  • Support special functions or events as assigned by management
