We are currently seeking a dedicated and energetic Sushi Chef de Partie to join our esteemed kitchen team. As a Sushi Chef de Partie, you will play a central role in the preparation and execution of high-quality sushi dishes, contributing to the diversity and excellence of our menu. KEY RESPONSIBILITES * Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes in accordance with established recipes. * Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation. * Maintain a clean and organized sushi station, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. * Assist in inventory management, ordering, and maintaining quality control of sushi ingredients. * Mentor and train junior kitchen staff, contributing to the development of a cohesive culinary team. * Actively participate in menu development, bringing forward ideas for continuous improvement. REQUIREMENTS * Proven experience as a Sushi Chef de Partie or in a similar role in a high-end restaurant or luxury establishment. * Strong understanding of various sushi techniques and Japanese cuisine. * Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality culinary standards. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. PHYSICAL ABILITIES * Ability to grasp, lift, move, or push goods on cart/truck weighing up to 100 pounds. * Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces. * Remain in stationary position for 8 or more hours throughout work shift * Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality. * Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
