JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine, particularly in sushi preparation, and will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant’s standards. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety and presentation.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience in the food industry with a focus on sushi or fine dining experience.
  • Strong culinary skills with expertise in food preparation, cooking, and meal preparation.
  • Excellent knife skills and knowledge of various fish types used in sushi making.
  • Familiarity with dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus.
  • Ability to plan menus that cater to diverse dietary needs while maintaining flavor and presentation.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
  • Experience in catering or serving within a restaurant environment is advantageous.
