OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a deep appreciation for Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant’s standards while ensuring exceptional presentation and taste. This role requires expertise in knife skills, food safety, and culinary techniques specific to sushi preparation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry.
  • Strong knife skills with the ability to perform precise cuts for sushi preparation.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary environments.
  • Familiarity with various types of fish, seafood, and other ingredients used in sushi making.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to help foster a positive work atmosphere among kitchen staff.
  • Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.

  • Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to management for timely replenishment.
