JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef who can help us open our new sushi restaurant and then work as our chef. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine, particularly in sushi preparation, and will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes. This role requires a blend of creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety and quality.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience in the culinary field with a focus on sushi preparation or fine dining experience.
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of various fish types, seafood handling, and preparation techniques.
  • Experience in menu planning and creativity in developing new dishes.
  • Familiarity with dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus.
  • Excellent food safety knowledge and adherence to hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality output.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within the kitchen team.
