At Slurping Turtle, we strive to create a fun, team-oriented environment and offer room for growth within the company. We are currently looking for hard working, serious, experienced Sushi Cooks. Our Sushi Cook positions require strong communication skills, an appreciation for great food, and a focus on quality. Being a team player and having a great attitude is a must. Applicants MUST HAVE minimum 2 years of sushi experience in a professional environment; we will not review applications without sushi experience.

Responsibilities:

  • The position will require the following abilities:
  • Proper knife skills and usage
  • Works clean and uses proper food safety protocol
  • Able to communicate with the Head Chef and Management on a daily basis
  • Properly dress and wear a clean uniform
  • Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time
  • Able to follow direction and execute recipes and daily tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 20 LBS
  • SaveSerf or Food Handling certification preferred but not required

Job Responsibilities:

  • Rolling and cutting Maki, and making Nigiri
  • Working and preparing your designated station for the upcoming shift
  • Work as a team member assisting your co-workers to prepare for the upcoming shift
  • Cutting, shopping and slicing proteins and vegetables

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
