Hourly Rate: Casual HEW 3 ($44.04 per hour + 12% superannuation) Employment Type: Casual Location: Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus About the Role: The Sushi & Dumpling Chef requires a proactive, adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates strong communication and organisational skills. You will work closely within a small team to consistently deliver high quality food, with a strong focus on presentation, efficiency, and attention to detail. To be successful, you'll have: * A minimum of three years’ experience preparing sushi and dumplings, with a strong emphasis on quality, consistency, and presentation * A high level of knowledge of Asian ingredients and cooking techniques * Proven reliability, self-motivation, and excellent organisational skills * A positive, professional attitude and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team * Creativity and initiative to contribute to the development of new dishes and seasonal menus * The ability to obtain and maintain a valid Working With Children Check Your key responsibilities will be to: * Daily preparation and production of sushi and dumplings * Independently maintaining a clean, well-organised workspace in line with the highest food safety and hygiene standards * Engaging with guests when required, including explaining dishes, answering questions, and accommodating special dietary requests * Assisting with order placement, general preparation tasks, and overall kitchen cleaning * Supporting the delivery of events and functions across the Waurn Ponds and Waterfront campuses * Demonstrating strong time management, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure * Assist in fostering and nurturing a culture of professionalism and pride in the workplace Please submit your updated resume and 1 page cover letter.
