JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Helper to join our team in the food service industry. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks related to meal preparation, food handling, and ensuring a safe and efficient kitchen environment. This role is essential for supporting our culinary staff and ensuring that high standards of food safety and quality are maintained.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of meal preparation techniques and menu planning is advantageous.
• Experience as a dietary aide or in catering services will be considered an asset.
• A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment is essential.

• Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients as directed by the kitchen staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
• Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and seasonal options.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
• Help with catering events by preparing food items according to specified menus and assisting with setup and breakdown.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other food preparation tools.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
