SUSHI PRODUCTION CLERK JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Sushi Production Clerk
Location: Sorrento Village Grocer, 1249 Trans Canada Hwy, Sorrento, British Columbia
Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time
Job Summary: The Sushi Production Clerk is responsible for the preparation and packaging of all our instore made sushi. This role involves preparing, packaging, and filling orders of sushi while ensuring high standards of quality, freshness, and cleanliness. The Sushi Production Clerk works under the supervision of the Sushi Chef and collaborates with the team to provide excellent customer service.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a retail environment is beneficial
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly workspace

• Prepare fresh sushi and package for sale at both of our locations.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the prep area, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ensure all sushi items are visually appealing to customers.
• Monitor the quality and freshness of sushi, discarding any items that are spoiled or damaged.
• Collaborate with the Manager and other team members to maintain inventory levels and restock as needed.
• Follow safety guidelines when operating equipment such as knives, cutters, and peelers.
• Ensure accurate labeling and pricing of product.
• Adhere to store policies and procedures, including those related to hygiene, safety, and customer service.
• Assist with unloading and organizing deliveries from suppliers as needed.
